MEETING CANCELLATION NOTICE, 6:00pm, 9 July 2014, Kokiri Marae

Tena koutou katoa, this is to advise that the extra hui that was scheduled for 9/10 July has been cancelled.

In the mean time work continues on the programme for the Ngata Lectures and we will be in touch with the final details soon.The dates and venues are now confirmed. Please plan and book the space in your diaries according to the following dates:

• 4 September – manuhiri arrive in Poneke (Kokiri Marae, Seaview). Powhiri at 6pm and kai at 8pm       
• 5 September – full day of lectures at Te Papa, opening with Ta Tamati Reedy's lecture about the history of Ta Apirana Ngata, followed by presentations throughout the day that include never-before-seen NZ Film Archive footage of Ta Apirana, waiata and haka and whakapapa. Content details to be confirmed. Evening – Hakari, to be confirmed.
• 6 September – full morning of te reo lectures.  At midday – bus to Otaki for Ngati Porou versus Horowhenua rugby match. After-match function and hangi. And for those who don't go to the rugby, 'back-of-house tours' at Te Papa.
• 7 September – parakuihi, wrap-up and review. Poroporoaki. Midday – ka mutu. 

Accommodation, food and transport will be provided. However there will be a small registration fee ($20 per adult, $10 per adult student and tamariki free) to help towards the costs. We will publish the final programme shortly and let you know how to register and pay your registration fee.
