Ngā Rohe Moana o Ngā Hapū o Ngāti Porou Bill
Ngati Porou turn out at Parliament for the third and final reading of the Ngā Rohe Moana o Ngā Hapū o Ngāti Porou Bill. The Bill secures customary title over the East Coast foreshore and seabed, a major milestone for many Ngati Porou hapu. The culmination of 16 years of negotiation with the Crown, initiated and led by Dr Apirana Mahuika until his passing in 2015.
